Who We Are
For over 47 years , we have established ourselves as a force in the Cooperatives industry.
The society’s name was derived from short form of “Agricultural Development Corporation (AGDECO).The Society started off with a minimal membership of only 20 employees of Agricultural Development Corporation. The monthly deductions commenced in November 1975.
The Society was established with a view of mobilizing member’s financial resources aimed at accumulating savings and accessing affordable credit for purposes of economic empowerment and development. Hence the Sacco’s motto is to ‘save more, borrow regularly, and pay promptly”.
From an initial membership of 20, Agdeco has grown tremendously over the years to 1,742 members in 1994. The membership is drawn from all regions of the country but specifically; Kitale, Molo, Lanet, Laikipia, Garissa, Coast and Nairobi
